Mecklenburg County School's Teachers and Staff Receive Awards at SVRTC Awards Banquet!


The Second Annual Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium Awards Banquet was held on March 19, 2008 at Longwood University. Over 100 award winners and guests were present. Several special guests were present that included: Aneesch Chopra, Secretary of Technology; Senator Frank Ruff; Delegate Clark Hogan; Dr. Patricia Cormier, President of Longwood University; and Dr. Wayne McWee, Provost of Longwood University.
Secetary Chopra presented the keynote address and presented awards to teachers and other technology leaders in the 25 school division consortium.

Susan Carroll,South Hill Elementary School, Mecklenburg County's Technology Teacher Award
NETS*T Certification receipients, Stephanie Carter and Amy Newton, Technology Resource Teachers.

Mecklenburg County Schools teachers and staff were recognized at the 2nd Annual SVTRC Awards Banquet on March 19, 2008. Attending the Banquet were:
Helen Hill, Division Superintendent; Ernie Conner, Director of Career,Technical, Adult Education and Technology Integration; Connie Puckett, Principal South Hill Elementary School; Chad Wollenberg, Manager of Technical Services; Amy Newton and Stephanie Carter, Technology Resource Teachers; and Susan Carroll, Teacher South Hill Elementary School.

Chad Wollenberg Receives the SVRTC Technology Leadership Award


Chad Wollenberg, Manager of Technical Services for Mecklenburg County Schools was presented the SVRTC Technology Leadership Award at a Special Awards Banquet. The Banquet was held at Longwood University on March 19, 2008.

Susan Carroll is Named a SVRTC Technology Teacher Award Winner


Susan Carroll is presented the SVRTC Technology Award from Mecklenburg County Schools by Aneesh Chopra, Secretary of Technology, Commonwealth of Virginia.
